In addition to the annual Past-President’s Award and School Psychologist of the Year Award, IASP also presents other awards at the discretion of the Executive Board. These awards include the Liam Grimley Award, Outstanding Early Career Award, Outstanding Graduate Student Award, Friend of School Psychology, Special Service Award, and Lifetime Membership. 

The Liam Grimley Award

This award was developed in 1999 to honor Liam Grimley, who was a faculty member in the school psychology program at Indiana State University and played a significant role in the growth and development of IASP. This award is presented to school psychologists who have been very active in IASP, who have developed name recognition within the field of school psychology, and/or who are dedicated to the growth and maintenance of our state organization. 

Outstanding Early Career and Outstanding Graduate Student Awards

These awards were developed in order to promote involvement in IASP and recognize early career school psychologists or school psychology graduate students who have been active in our state organization and/or involved in innovative activities that promote the practice of school psychology.

Friend of School Psychology

Friend of School Psychology Award is awarded to a person who is not currently acting in the position of a school psychologist who actively supports the advancement of school psychology and school psychologists beyond their immediate local level. The recipient’s impact must reach beyond their current school district. 

Special Service Award

This award is presented to IASP members, such as Region Representative, Association Offices, and Committee Chairs, in recognition of their contributions towards our state organization.
