At the 2015 annual Planning and Development Retreat, a group of IASP leaders, committee members, and school psychologists from across the state spent two days engaged in the initial states of the strategic planning process. This work will focus the goals and activities of IASP over the coming months and years. The following key initiatives were identified:

  • Increase member capacity to communicate the importance and value of school psychological services;
  • Increase stakeholder understanding about school psychological services and how they can be provided in various settings and model;
  • Expand collaborative relationships with external stakeholders; and
  • Enhance IASPs’ influence in legislative and educational policy decision making.
